Paxton Rose Hat

Paxton Rose Hat, in New Lanark Donegal Silk Tweed DK
Pattern by Helena Callum

My latest pattern, Paxton Rose Hat, is now available as a a pdf download - Buy now!

A fun hat featuring a traditional Scandinavian-style rose pattern. Wear as a beanie by folding the brim to achieve the desired degree of ear coverage, or get the slouchy look by leaving the brim unfolded.

The hat is worked in the round, from brim to crown. Instructions for the stranded colourwork pattern and crown shaping are given in a chart.

The long ribbed brim is very stretchy, meaning the hat will fit a range of head sizes (20-22 in or 51-56 cm).
